What are the most important differences between the following methods:
1.seal joint
2. sealless joint
3. TIG welded joint
?
The fastener with a seal; here a seal is used to connect the strap´s ends by mechanical effort. This method is used by steel strapping devices and in the field of lashing and crimping. It is possible to use this method with hand devices but also with fully automated strapping machines. The seals are available in an open, semi open or push shape and also as a magazine type. There are blank, varnished, zinc coated and even printed varieties.
Sealless joint; it is developed by TITAN and offers a higher locking firmness than using a seal. Here the strap is crimped what can happen by automatic strapping machines as well as by hand devices.
TIG-welded fastener; here the steel strap (steel strapping) is welded. TITAN machines use the patented TITANARG locking technology where the strap is welded by the TIG procedure which has almost no tungsten spatters and no smoke. . The procedure guarantees the highest locking firmness with the lowest costs.
